About me
I’m a British writer with a long-standing connection to the region through my partner, Max, who’s from Alba. Since 2017, I’ve visited regularly, and in 2026, we’re swapping city life in Barcelona for the slow life in Piedmont.
Years of sitting around family dining tables with plates of agnolotti and the kind of wines most people save for special occasions have given me a deep understanding of the region—and a responsibility to tell its story with respect.
White truffles and Barolo may be famous around the world, but the delicate ecosystems that make them possible are increasingly vulnerable—and I believe sustainable travel has a crucial role to play in protecting their future.
